That's what moms are, Amomodating. It's a combination between Accommodating and Mom. Because that is what my mom is.
a m o m o d a t i n g!!!!!
It's a good word, huh.
It doesn't mean that my mom always lets me do whatever I want. It means she cares so much about me. She would go so far out of her way if she thought it would help me in any way. She'll be accommodating, but only in ways that will help her children.
Like when none of my friends were going to McDermit for the leadership conference. She bought me a bunch of snacks to share with the other girls on the bus. That is very amomodating.
Like with the History Day Desi and I are preforming in. She bought me a bonnet. . . and a hat with a feather. . . and a really cool looking gun. She is driving us all the way to Carson City, and if we win she'll fly with us on a plane even though she hates flying, and even though it will cost a lot of money. That is about as amomodating as there is.
I think she got it from her mom. Today right when church got over Dad went over to Mom and said that we were going to have the missionaries and this lady to lunch. Mom didn't know what we were going to have to eat. Grandma said, "You can have our roast we were going to eat, your dad and I can find something else to eat."
That is nice, huh.
Actually it's amomodating.
We didn't take Grandma's roast, but she did end up letting us borrow some ingredients that we needed and didn't have. She also made us a salad. That is definitely amomodating.
Isn't great that we have such amomodating Moms all around?

Clarissa, I love your new word. I love you. I love your mom. I love MY mom. What a great bunch of women we're related to right? The really great part, I'll bet someday, you yourself will be amomodating!!!
Good luck with your history contest. I would love to see a picture of you and Deseret in your costumes.
